"FOUR WORLDS" wins a Jubilee Award

The 2018 Guangzhou AV Fair has announced the awardees of “Jubilee Grand Award”.

Four Worlds, Moye Chen’s Deutsche Grammophone debut album, has been named the “Best Solo Album“. Another two solo awards went to Catalogue d’Oiseaux on Pentatone, by world-renowned French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard, and Eight Thousands Road, the new album by Yazhi Guo, one of the world’s most acclaimed Suona Hornist

Released in May 2018, Four Worlds was produced by Cyrus Meher-Homji, the founder of the prestigious Eloquence Classics series and General Manager of Universal Music Australia.

In the meantime, Universal Music was named the “Best Label“.

Moye Chen made concerto debut with Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra

On July 17, Moye Chen has performed Prokofiev’s colossal second piano concerto with Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Liang Zhang, as a part of the opening concert of the 2018 Shanghai International Piano Festival and Institute (SIPFI), at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.

On July 19, Moye will offer a solo recital at the Grand Auditorium of Shanghai High School, as a part of the faculty recital series of SIPFI.

Universal Music Australia is thrilled to announce the debut album Four Worlds from outstanding virtuoso pianist Moye Chen, scheduled for release on May 4, 2018 – immediately before his return recital at the Sydney Opera House, followed by concerto performances in Australia and China with Sir Andrew Davis and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.  

On the legendary Deutsche Grammophon label, Four Worlds features piano music by Sergei Rachmaninov, Percy Grainger and Vladimir Horowitz.

Cyrus Meher-Homji, General Manager of Classics and Jazz at Universal Music Australia and Producer of Four Worlds, says: ‘The range of emotions he (Moye Chen) conveys on his debut recording, from exquisite poetry to sheer thrill, will get your heart pumping.
